I have a PS4 Pro reserved and will be picking it up on launch day. Although I don’t have a 4K television yet I’m excited to try the higher definition upgrades for the titles above. I’ve just started Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 so I’m hoping to see a decent upgrade to both of those. I think for anyone with a 1080p screen like me, we shouldn’t expect too much as I expect the real wow moment will be seeing games in 4K HDR, however I think any small graphical improvement will add to the overall enjoyment of gaming. What I am really pleased to see is the list of PlayStation VR games that will be getting an update. Driveclub VR is currently very lacking in the graphics department so I’m hoping for a decent upgrade. I’m not sure what the Battlezone enhancement could be as the graphics are fine at the moment, especially for the style it is going for, so maybe this could be frame rate related. Almost all of the launch PSVR games are on the list so I will report back on my impressions of the differences. The great thing here is it doesn’t matter what kind of display you have, everyone can benefit from the VR upgrades.
With Call of Duty, Uncharted 4, The Last of Us remastered, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Ratchet and Clank getting Pro updates I can see myself being a very busy gamer for the foreseeable future.
Which games are you looking forward to trying the Pro version of? Are there any you’re hoping will get an update in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
A pretty substantial list!
