As part of their Financial Briefing to shareholders, Nintendo revealed their plans for a Nintendo Switch Presentation to take place on 12th January 2017. This event will be live streamed from Japan, and cover the system’s launch date, games, and cost.
Additionally, live demo events will also take place in the US and Europe.
This is a good move for Nintendo, as many fans and pundits expressed concerns that withholding information until 2017 could be detrimental to the console’s success. However, knowing when the information will come is helpful, and shows that Nintendo does have some form of marketing plan in place for this announcement.
Hopefully we’ll get to see some brand new titles at launch in addition to some of the previously shown titles from the initial reveal.
